RMB’S HISTORY
Founded in 2005, RMB Capital is an independent, employee-owned firm that offers advisory services and investment solutions for a diverse range of clients. RMB manages approximately $9.4 billion in AUM¹ for individuals and families, family offices, and institutional investors.
Our asset management unit offers equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies run by highly experienced portfolio managers. Underpinning all that we do is a deep commitment to fundamental research, concentration within portfolios, and risk management.

Our Team
Investment Teams


Dick co-founded RMB Capital in April 2005. He sets investment policy, oversees all portfolio management activity, and directs clients’ strategic asset allocations. Dick has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, focused in strategic asset allocation and portfolio management. Dick currently serves as a director of the Burridge Center for Securities Analysis at the University of Colorado. He holds a BA in economics from the University of Colorado.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.


Chris leads the investment activities of RMB Asset Management, including asset allocation, manager research and selection, and security selection across multiple asset classes and investment strategies. For more than 15 years, Chris has conducted primary investment research and gained experience across the spectrum of asset classes, security types, investment styles, industry sectors, and market capitalizations. Chris has been with RMB Capital since inception in 2005, when he left UBS along with our co-founders and the rest of their team. Prior to UBS, he performed equity research at William Blair & Company. Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Chicago.

When Todd joined RMB Capital in 2011, he brought 13 years of experience in analyzing equity securities and managing portfolios for mutual funds, institutions, and separately managed accounts. Prior to RMB, Todd worked as an equity analyst in Chicago for Columbia Wanger Asset Management and Ariel Investments. While rooted in value investing, his investment philosophy has developed and grown over the years to more fully encompass a “growth at a reasonable price” style. Todd is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and also a Master of Science in Finance. Todd was recognized with a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter in 1999 and is currently a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.

Anton joined RMB Capital in 2014, when the Mendon team combined with RMB Asset Management. Anton has been in the investment and risk management business since 1986, focusing on investment and portfolio management. He founded Mendon Capital in 1996 with a long/short and event-driven investment strategy focused exclusively on the financial services sector. Previously, he worked at RBC Dain Rauscher with an institutional sales trading role in the financial institutions group. Anton also spent 10 years at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he structured investment products utilizing hedge funds and also developed and applied financial risk strategies. Anton is often interviewed regarding his expertise in the financial services sector. He appears regularly as a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, The New York Times, Financial Times, Business Week, Investors’ Business Daily, Smart Money, and others. Anton obtained an MBA from Fordham University in 1988 and graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1986.


Chris joined RMB Capital in 2017, when the IronBridge team combined with RMB Asset Management. Chris is the lead portfolio manager for the Small Cap Core and SMID Cap Core equity strategies. Prior to founding IronBridge in 1999, Chris was a founding member of HOLT Value Associates, L.P., where he worked with senior portfolio managers across the U.S. and Europe. Chris graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance.


Jeff joined RMB Capital in 2017, when the IronBridge team combined with RMB Asset Management. He started at IronBridge as an equity analyst in 2001 and became a co-portfolio manager for the Small Cap Core and SMID Cap Core strategies in 2004. Prior to joining IronBridge, Jeff worked at Accenture in the Retail Management Consulting Practice. His roles focused on equity analysis and client interfacing, including IPO business plan creation, vendor negotiations, and strategy implementation. Jeff is a board member of the Heartland Institute, whose mission is to discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems. He also serves on the Executive Council for the Cara Program, which prepares and inspires motivated individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, transform their lives, strengthen our communities, and forge paths to real and lasting success. Jeff graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with Business Honors and Distinction.


Masa joined RMB Capital in September 2013 as a portfolio manager for RMB Asset Management and brought a deep knowledge and understanding of the Japanese markets. In his role, Masa directly oversees the firm’s international and global strategies, including Japan-focused investments. He relies upon a disciplined research process that includes both qualitative and quantitative analysis, which is supported by regular travel for meetings with companies and their management teams. Prior to joining RMB, Masa spent eight years with Coghill Capital Management and held various roles within Nomura Securities Company, the largest brokerage and investment banking firm in Japan. Masa earned his Bachelor’s degree in Law from The University of Tokyo, his MBA in Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago, and is a CFA® charterholder.

Business Development and Client Service


Prior to joining RMB Capital in 2014, Krista spent more than 20 years at Ariel Investments in Chicago, most recently managing the institutional distribution efforts for the firm’s separately managed account and mutual fund offerings. In this capacity, she oversaw the marketing and client service efforts to consultants, corporate, public and Taft-Hartley pension plans, and defined contribution plans, as well as financial advisors and third-party distributors. Krista has a BBA in International Business and Marketing from Ohio University.


Prior to joining RMB in July 2016, Craig worked for Burnham Asset Management. His role focused on distribution of the firm’s mutual fund and hedge fund offerings, primarily targeting family offices, endowments, financial advisors, and Registered Investment Advisory firms. Craig has a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Craig has his Series 7 and 63 License and resides in New York City.


Prior to joining RMB in May 2014, Leah held planning and sales positions at Abbott Nutrition and Wilson Sporting Goods. Upon joining RMB, Leah worked in wealth management and gained years of experience as part of RMB Capital’s family office services team before transitioning to the asset management side of business. She earned her BA in history from Princeton University.
